The main image of the page
consists of the same front
man as displayed on the front
page, which refers to the
main article as well as the
colour scheme.
The contents page uses up
the gutter space through the
use of graphics such as
imagery of the band, and advertisement of the other
page.
The actual contents takes up
less than a quarter of the
room.
There is self advertisement of
ROCK SOUND to promote
the issue of the magazine, and also contain a quotation from the band featured as the main article 'The Alkaline Trio'.

Due to the articles on the second page being less significant than the main articles in that months magazine, the font of the content is smaller to make room for graphical elements such as pictures to accompany the features.
The typography varies and is presented on top of white boxes to stand in front of the images on the page.
The contents page also includes a short edit from the editor allowing him to directly talk to the readers, mentioning the Alkaline Trio and more. The text includes an image of Darren Taylor mimicking one of the images of Matt later on in the magazine.
The contents page also includes a byline, referencing the crew that was involved in the publishing of that months magazine, whilst being comical including a sub heading of Rock Sound's Slaves.
The contents page spans over two pages, and is accompanied by advertorials which match the house style, for example the advert for the Offspring's new album.
On the contents page Rock Sound includes a lure, quoting Matt Skiba to attract the audience to the intriguing statement. '"If you try and leave they kill you. So I'm quite terrified right now". Matt Skiba on the Church of Satan'.
Rock Sound include information like the issue number and the Rock Sound logo/ masthead to further promote brand identity on the inside of the magazine. They also include the Rock Sound slogan 'new music first' on heir second contents page as a way to show exclusivity.
