I have researched the KERRANG 22 September 2012 edition.

KERRANG is published Weekly and a circulation of 33,024 copies can be found at local corner shops and news agents at the cost of £2.20 or $6.95 AUD

Barcode advertises the issue number, price and a link to the brand website at www.kerrang.com

The pages on the MOJO magazine are thicker and less flimsy than the KERRANG pages, and consist of more pages due to its monthly publishing routine rather than KERRANGS weekly routine.

There are 64 pages in side of the magazine including content and adverts. Out of the 64, 12 of the pages are adverts, including gig advertisements and other things which relate to the theme of the rock magazine, such as ticketmaster.co.uk/ The magazine consists of different categories such as social media ‘tweets of the week’, music companies such as HMV who advertises upcoming albums, video games, and ticket and gig retailers, such as ticketmaster.co.uk/.

Advertorials included in the magazine are often pages which seem at first glance seem to be news on gigs, but really are adverts for ticket retailers such as ticketmaster.

There are 16 double pages included in the article, most of which text only takes up less than 1/4 of the two pages in articles. There was also a advert double game, advertising a new release of a video game.

The price of Rock Sound magazine is £3.60 which is around the same price as a monthly magazine such as MOJO which costs £3.95, where as monthly magazines such as KERRANG costs only £2.20.

The price range is higher due to the fact that there is just under double the amount of pages KERRANG's 64 page magazine has in the ROCK SOUND magazine.

Rock Sound's first issue was published in 1999 and has a circulation of 13,924 monthly. It is a British rock magazine which aims at being an underground style magazine.
