Another target audience is Dylan, captured in the photo to the right, listens to Empire of the Sun and Pink Floyd. He expects information on tours and news in the music industry to be in a music magazine. He shops at clothing stores such as Top man and River Island. He listens to music 5 hours a day and expects around 150 pages in a music magazine.

My Target Audience

I created an online survey in order to further understand the demands and information of my target audience. The survey can be found here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/2XPTRKJ

When surveying 16-17 year olds, I found there was an overwhelming majority who enjoyed listening to alternative and rock music. There aren't many magazines who souley focus on alternative rock (excluding possibly MOJO), however this provides a good reason to produce an alternative rock magazine.

Charlie, as seen in the photo to the left, is my target audience. He shops at online retailers such as ASOS and Next. He wears hoodies, flannel tops and skinny jeans.

In his spare time he enjoys 'hanging out' with friends and exploring abandoned places.

He listens primarily to 80's post punk rock such as Joy Division, and alternative bands such as MGMT and others.

Charlie reads magazines on an unregular basis such as KERRANG and would expect a magazine to have around 90 pages.

Charlie listens to music six hours a day and would expect to see his favourite bands in the magazine.
